Couldn't be happier
This knife lives up to its very lofty reputation. It's disappears into my pocket where I forget about it until needed. And by "needed" I mean, "Hey, wouldn't it be fun to rip that thing out for fun?" Yes, I suppose it's a great SHTF ambush defense but come on, I'm about as likely to use it for that as I am my lava proof socks to save a virgin about to be tossed into a volcano.Still, that said, the blade came out of the box is sharper than god. Sharper than a lightsaber. To be clear I DO NOT USE THIS KNIFE for, well, anything really. I have a Leatherman Charge TI for real work, but I tested this thing out because it fell REAL d#mned sharp. I casually swiped through a piece of construction paper, thought, "D#mn, that was sharp." So then I picked up a napkin and sliced through it as well. A napkin. I shudder to think what this thing would do a baddie's soft and necessaries. The build quality is impeccable. The new G-10 inserts on the ring are perfect and needed. I'm amazed they ever made them without it. The clip is perfect. Strong enough for retention, but you can still deploy it. Deploy it? Oh yes, out of, I don't know, a couple hundred draws it has failed to deploy, once, and that was my fault. The Emerson wave works very time you don't screw up.If you have a decent pair of jeans (I wear Duluth) it doesn't even really destroy your pants that much. I mean, if you're a Dockers guy you're going to need to head to JC Penney for a stack of $10 pleats, but past that I'm surprised how little damage it does to the pocket. The single only thing I can say that is not 100% glowing about the knife is that it feels a little lost in my hand. You really have to grip it JUST right to get it seat itself in there correctly because it is so damned thin. Obviously that's the price you pay for the ultimate carry-ability. I goof on its utility (right next to none), but, on the other hand, this can go a lot of places my Sig can not, and, I will very likely never be unarmed again.
