Spyderco Tenacious blade length
Spyderco makes some really cool knives, but some of their models get a little pricey. That’s not the case with the Spyderco Tenacious. The Tenacious is a “value model” for Spyderco, and is an excellent value indeed.

Features
The Spyderco Tenacious has some great features, especially considering the price.
Blade
The Tenacious blade steel is 8Cr13MoV, which I’ve had good luck with. My understanding is that 8Cr13MoV is very similar in composition to the often used Japanese steel AUS-8, but with slightly more carbon. In my experience 8Cr13MoV, like AUS-8, is pretty easy to sharpen and also holds its edge reasonably well too.
The Tenacious blade is full flat ground, and I love the blade shape.
Handle, Lock and Clip
The Tenacious has a 4-way reversible clip for tip up or tip down carry, either left handed or right handed, letting you carry the way you want.
Value
The Spyderco Tenacious is a great value. At the time of writing, you could buy the Spyderco Tenacious for around $30, which for me, is a good price for an EDC blade. As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, I don’t like to carry expensive knives everyday. That way I don’t feel bad beating them up.
